Yesterday we used the verses of Ephesians 3 as a borrowed prayer. As Paul continues his letter, he gets practical by reminding his readers that building unity takes work:
“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.” Ephesians 4:2-3
As you read these direct instructions, which one stands out as the one you struggle with most? In what ways have you failed to act in humility, gentleness or patience when it comes to situations or people at church? Confess your failure to God, let his love help you choose a new way, and look for a way to work toward peace.
