Perhaps you have wondered, does anyone see the work I do? If you’ve ever experienced the resentment that so often accompanies feeling unseen or unappreciated at home or work, find encouragement in today’s passage from Colossians, where Paul reminds us of who we are really working for:

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24

Is there a place or a relationship in your life where you feel like no one sees you? Take a moment to imagine Jesus there. Imagine him reminding you that he is not only aware but in charge. How does this shift your perspective?

If you’re reading through the full book of Colossians, read Colossians 3:18-25 today.
