Do you ever think about what you think about? The thoughts in our mind are powerful, shaping our attitude, behavior and awareness. If you have surrendered your life to Jesus, you have invited him to give you new life, including new thoughts. Paul talks about this in Colossians 3:
“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:1-3
Pay attention to your thoughts today. What are the main themes? How might Jesus want to change not only the things you think about, but also redirect you? How does your thinking change when you remember that Jesus is at the center of everything, holding it all together, and in a place of honor and authority?
