Developing strong Christian community and remaining connected through the highs and lows of life takes a lot of work. In today’s passage (Colossians 1:24 – 2:5), Paul, writing from jail, expresses deep emotion in describing both his desire to see the church understand its purpose and the bonds that should hold fellow believers together. He says:
“I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3
How connected are you to other fellow believers? How can you strengthen those relationships? Take one practical step today to encourage someone from church.
