Today is Sunday. It’s the start of a new week and a chance for us to come together as a community for worship. Putting God in first place throughout our week is a way to remember that we depend on him. We can’t do his work with our own energy, disconnected from him, or we will dry up or burn out.
Listen to this promise from Isaiah 58:11:
The Lord will guide you continually,
giving you water when you are dry
and restoring your strength.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like an ever-flowing spring.
Questions to consider:
What’s the status of your spiritual tank (picture the fuel indicator on a car)?
How can you reconnect to God today and receive what only he can offer?
An action step to take:
In the morning, thank God for a new day that is a fresh start.
In the evening, before you go to sleep, thank God for giving you rest.
