Easter Week at West Side

March 29-April 5

Join us as we remember Christ's death and celebrate his resurrection this week at West Side! We have several impactful services and daily devotions planned to help center your heart for Easter Sunday.

Holy Week Daily Devotions

March 30-April 4

Holy Week invites us to walk with Jesus through the events in the final week of his earthly ministry — from his triumphal entry on Palm Sunday to his crucifixion on Good Friday. It is a week of surrender and remembrance that leads us from celebration to mourning, and finally, to resurrection hope on Easter Sunday.
We’ve created daily devotionals during Holy Week to help you enter the story.

Monday

Reflect on these words:

“Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.” Ephesians 2:20-21

Consider:

Is there any person that you have a hard time accepting as part of God’s family?

Pray:

Jesus, give us your vision and your passion for including people from every background into your family. Cleanse our hearts and forgive us. Make us more like you, Jesus. Amen.

Tuesday

Reflect on these words:

“Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity.” John 12:25

Consider:

Is there anything in your life that you need to release and give up to God?

Pray:

Jesus, you showed us what it looks like to follow and obey your Father, even to the point of death. Help us to surrender our grip and trust you. Amen.

Wednesday

Reflect on these words:

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1b-2

Consider:

How does Jesus’ example of obedience in the face of betrayal and suffering encourage you today?

Pray:

Jesus, help us look to you as we go through our day. Give us reminders regularly of your love and help us not grow weary or lose heart. Amen.

Additional scriptures for reflection:

Thursday

Reflect on these words:

“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:34-35

Consider:

How can you follow Jesus’ example to love and serve today? Is there someone, perhaps even an enemy, that you can show love to in a practical, humble way?

Pray:

Jesus, you emptied yourself and loved with complete humility. Help us to forgive others in the way you forgive us. Teach us your ways. Help us to love one another. Amen.

Good Friday

April 3

In His final days on earth, Jesus said, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” — Matthew 26:38 (NLT). Good Friday is a sacred opportunity to pause, pray, and remember Jesus’ death on the cross.

Join us on Good Friday, April 3, for a guided space of prayer and reflection from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM or 5:00–7:00 PM in the Hub. Come anytime during those windows for self-guided prayer, or join us at 12:00 PM or 6:00 PM for a time of communal prayer and worship.

Easter at West Side

April 4 & 5

Easter is the day we celebrate the most life-changing moment in history — Jesus’ victory over death. Through his resurrection, the power of sin was broken, and forgiveness was made possible.

And yet, even as we celebrate what Jesus has done, we know the world is still not the way it should be. We still experience loss, injustice, pain, and brokenness. Easter reminds us that because Jesus rose from the dead, hope is real now — and it also points us forward to the day when he will return and make everything new.

This Easter, we invite you to gather with us as we celebrate the risen Jesus — the one who came, who lives, and who is coming again. Come and remember. Come and celebrate. Come and worship. Come and join us in praying, Come, Lord Jesus.
