In the weeks leading up to Christmas, we want to practice and experience hope. Advent is a spiritual season that reminds us that God is at work in our waiting. We’re providing several resources and prompts to help us hold onto the hope of Jesus throughout December.

Lectio 365 Daily Audio Devotions

Lectio 365 offers daily audio devotionals for individuals and families with young children. Use their guided prayer prompts to spend a short time each day listening to God's voice. During Advent this year, pray through the Christmas story from the gospel of Luke.

Weekly Lectionary Scripture Reading - Advent

Many Christian churches use a common Scripture reading plan for each Sunday of the year (the Revised Common Lectionary). This website allows you to see and read the Scriptures for the season of Advent (as well as some written prayers and artwork). Each Sunday has an Old Testament reading, a Psalm, a New Testament reading, and a Gospel reading. These Scriptures could be read in personal quiet time or with family and friends around the Advent candle lighting.
